S. Korean Men’s Curling Team Suffer Defeat in Opening Match

The South Korean men’s curling team was defeated by the U.S. in their opening match at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics on Wednesday morning.

The Korean team, led by Kim Chang-min, lost 11-7 to a strong American side at the Gangneung Curling Centre.

The match started evenly, with the teams tied at 2-2 after the first two ends, but the U.S. soon took control of the match and ended up comfortable winners.

In the morning session’s other matches, Sweden beat Denmark 9-5 and Canada defeated Italy 5-3. In the closest match of the day, Great Britain won 6-5 against Switzerland.

South Korea will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat when they play Sweden on Wednesday evening.
