Rookie Ko Jin-young Wins Australian Open in LPGA Debut

Rookie South Korean golfer Ko Jin-young won the Women's Australian Open in her LPGA Tour debut.

Playing in her first tournament as a full LPGA member, Ko shot a three-under-69 in the final round at the Kooyonga Golf Club in Adelaide on Sunday.

She finished the four rounds with a total of 14-under-274 to win the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open by three strokes over compatriot Choi Hye-jin.

Ko has become the first player in 67 years to win her first tournament as an LPGA member. Beverly Hanson was the last to achieve the feat in 1951.
