Report: After 17 days of thrilling sports drama, the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games will wrap up with an elaborate closing ceremony on Sunday.
Under the theme “The Next Wave,” the ceremony will consist of four major cultural showcases highlighting the Olympic spirit of challenge, the vision of the future and a message of peace.
Blending traditional and modern aesthetics, the ceremony will kick off at 8 p.m. on Sunday and feature K-pop performances led by much-loved boy band EXO and female hip-hop singer CL.

“I love how passionate everyone is about this and you know I'm ready to enjoy it and enjoy together. I hope you guys have fun, too.”
Another attraction will be a handover show orchestrated by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou who also directed the ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
This performance will showcase the transition from Korea to China for the 2022 Beijing Winter Games.
But perhaps the most captivating will be the re-staging of the aerial light show using drones that had wowed audiences around the globe.
The computer graphic like precision display of LED lights using the drones promises to be a spectacle that illuminates the night sky.
As temperatures are forecast to fall below zero degrees Celsius on Sunday, organizers plan to provide raincoats, blankets, hand warmers and hats to spectators to keep them warm during the gala closing ceremony.
