S. Korean Women's Curling Team Advances to Finals

The South Korean women’s curling team has advanced to the finals at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics with a dramatic 8-7 win over Japan on Friday.

The quartet, led by skip Kim Eun-jung, defeated their rivals at the Gangneung Curling Centre in an extra end after Japan tied up the score in the 10th.

With Friday’s triumph, South Korea has secured at least a silver medal in the event.

It's the first time a South Korean curling team, men or women, has made it to an Olympics final.

South Korea will take on fifth-ranked Sweden in the final at 9:05 a.m. on Sunday, the last day of the Olympics.
