South Korea’s speed skater Kim Bo-reum won a silver medal in the inaugural Olympic mass start event at the PyeongChang Winter Games on Saturday.  

In the event held at the Gangneung Ice Arena, Kim finished in second place with 40 points behind Japan’s Nana Takagi who earned 60 points. Irene Schouten of the Netherlands claimed the bronze.
