Tennis Player Chung Hyeon Ranks 26th in World

South Korean tennis player Chung Hyeon has placed 26th in the Association of Tennis Professionals(ATP) rankings released on Monday, up three notches from last week.

With the jump, Chung broke the previous record he had set as the highest-ranking South Korean male tennis player of all time.

Chung outdid Lee Hyung-taik, who was ranked 36th, when he became the first South Korean tennis player to reach the semi-finals of a Grand Slam in January.

Chung surged to 26th place after advancing into the quarterfinal of the ATP Mexican Open which ended last week.

The top three remained unchanged with Roger Federer of Switzerland topping the list followed by Rafael Nadal of Spain and Marin Cilic of Croatia.
