Two Koreas to Hold Joint Taekwondo Performance Monday

South Korea's taekwondo demonstration team held a performance in North Korea on Sunday ahead of an inter-Korean summit set for later this month.

The demonstration was held at Pyongyang's Taekwondo Hall prior to a concert by a South Korean art troupe at a separate venue.

In a second performance on Monday, about 20 South Korean athletes will jointly perform with North Koreans at the Pyongyang Grand Theater at 4:30 p.m.

Each team will perform for about 25 minutes, and then hold a joint demonstration for five minutes.

It will be the first joint taekwondo performance in Pyongyang.

The demonstration team and the art troupe will fly home on Tuesday on a chartered plane.
