The presidential office says that the leaders of South and North Korea may hold their first telephone conversation through the recently established hotline after their summit set for Friday. 

A senior presidential official told reporters on Tuesday that it's not decided yet whether to arrange the phone call for before or after the summit. 

The two sides had previously agreed to hold the first phone conversation between their leaders through the hotline before the summit. The agreement came early last month when President Moon Jae-in's top security adviser Chung Eui-yong traveled to Pyongyang for an unprecedented meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. 

The presidential official also said that the two Koreas are unlikely to hold additional high-level talks before the summit, although they had agreed to hold such talks in April during their first high-level meeting late last month.
