In a Chuseok holiday radio message, South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun vowed Tuesday to do his utmost to help stabilize the livelihoods of people in lower and middle-income brackets.

In the message, the president touched on a number of notes, sympathizing with compatriots over holiday traffic, and projecting a more robust economy if the government and people, and workers and management work to cooperate with each other.

The president also extended Chuseok greetings to military personnel, police, and firefighters whose duties will prevent them from joining loved ones over the holidays in their home towns.
