The World Health Organization said Thursday the SARS case reported in Singapore in recent days shouldn't be allowed to become a source of worry for the public.

In a news release Thursday, the WHO said the SARS patient in Singapore was not a serious one, and was only an isolated case.

Therefore, the WHO argued, the SARS situation in Singapore was currently out of danger, and could have spread within a test laboratory studying the deadly virus.

The WHO said an advisory committee to be held next month would discuss safety precautions in test labs.
