The South Korean government held an emergency cabinet ministers' meeting Saturday, presided over by prime minister Koh Kun to take countermeasures against overnight typhoon damage.

The ministers will make available all administrative power possible to help rehabilitate hard-hit infrastructure, including railways, electricity and communications.

They also plan to seek ways to minimize flood damage to agricultural produce with the help of military troops.

The government has already convened emergency meetings for all government officials in damaged areas to examine and address damage and speedily engage in rehabilitation efforts.
