S.K. Defeats China in Men's Asian Volleyball Championship

The South Korean men's volleyball team defeated China for the second consecutive time in the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, held in Tianxin, China Friday night.

The South Koreans defeated China 3 sets to 2, riding on the excellent performance of Shin Young-soo, right side hitter.

As a result, Korea reaffirmed its status as the strongest team in Asian volleyball, while earning a berth to the preliminaries for the Athens Olympiad in 2004.
