The latest release by South Korean boy band BTS entered the Official Albums Chart in the United Kingdom in the top ten, the highest ever for a K-pop album.

In the chart announced on Friday for the week from May 25th, BTS' new album "Love Yourself: Tear" was ranked eighth, breaking the record of 14th which they previously set with their mini album released in September last year.

The band also entered the U.K. Albums Download Chart and Albums Streaming Chart at number three and five respectively.

Upon its release on May 18th, BTS' new album is sweeping many other charts across the globe, including the iTunes Albums Chart and the Spotify Global Top 200 Chart.
