South Korea's presidential office has dispatched personnel to Singapore to lay the groundwork for a possible visit by President Moon Jae-in himself.

The prospective visit would be in the context of the increasingly likely summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump.

A diplomatic source says the administrative personnel sent to Singapore has an initial assignment of arranging hotel accommodations and setting up a press center.

The trip is fueling speculation that President Moon may be included in a trilateral summit involving the two Koreas and the U.S. possibly for a three-way formal declaration of an end to the Korean War.

Moon’s office says any visit by the president to Singapore would depend first on the success of the U.S.-North Korea summit.
