Two Koreas Finalize Delegations for Sports Talks on Monday

South and North Korea finalized their delegations for inter-Korean talks on sports exchanges scheduled for Monday. 

Seoul's Unification Ministry said Friday that the two sides will hold the talks on the South Korean side of the Panmunjeom border village at 10 a.m. on Monday.

The ministry said the South Korean delegation will be led by Jeon Choong-ryul, secretary general of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee. He will be accompanied by two officials from the unification and culture ministries.

Their North Korean counterparts will include Vice Sports Minister Won Kil-u as the chief delegate and two other officials. 

The ministry said the two sides will discuss cooperation and exchanges in the sports field including joint participation in the upcoming Asian Games in Indonesia which was included in the April 27th inter-Korean summit declaration.

The two Koreas agreed to hold talks on sports exchanges during high-level talks held early this month.
