High-Speed Train Reaches 300 kph in Test Run

A Korean-made high-speed train has successfully conducted a test run.

In the test operation held in central Chungcheong Province, the bullet train recorded speeds of three-hundred kilometers an hour, making South Korea the fifth nation in the world to reach the milestone.

The super train was built with 92 percent Korean technology and more than two hundred-10 billion won in research funds over the past six years.

The Ministry of Construction and Transportation and the Korea Railroad Research Institute plan to boost the train
