Voice of America(VOA) reported Saturday that the number of Americans who view North Korea as the biggest threat to the U.S. has dropped by 30 percentage points since the Singapore summit, compared to a year ago.

According to VOA, U.S. Web portal Axios and pollster SurveyMonkey surveyed nearly four thousand American adults earlier this month immediately following the North Korea-U.S. summit in Singapore.

Only 19 percent of respondents viewed North Korea as the biggest threat compared to 49 percent in July last year.

The majority, 29 percent, viewed Russia as the number one threat to the U.S., followed by the Islamist militant group ISIS at 22 percent.

Nineteen percent chose China, a sharp rise from six percent last year.
