The body of a South Korean agricultural activist who killed himself in Cancun, Mexico last week to protest global trade liberalization talks, was flown to Seoul Thursday for funeral.

Some 400 activists and family members attended a brief memorial service held at Incheon International Airport after the body of Lee Kyung-hae arrived from Mexico.

In a statement, the Korean Advance Farmers Federation (KAFF) said that "Lee's death mirrors the dire situation of South Korea's farming industry."
