The presidential office says that the date of President Moon Jae-in's trip to North Korea in the fall for a planned summit with the regime’s leader Kim Jong-un is not yet being discussed.

In a Friday briefing, Presidential Spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom was asked about whether the issue of Moon's visit to Pyongyang was discussed during a Thursday meeting of a state committee dedicated to implementing the April 27th inter-Korean summit agreement.

The spokesman said that some media reports have mentioned August for the next cross-border summit but the date of the meeting was not brought up at all during the meeting.

Kim said the Thursday meeting focused on checking progress in the implementation of follow-up measures to the Panmunjeom Declaration, current difficulties in the process and ways to resolve them.
