Korean director bags 2 Spanish fest prizes

South Korean director Bong Joon-ho won the Silver Shell for Best Director at the 51st San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain.
The award was given Saturday for his film, "Memories of Murder".
The festival's jury also awarded Mr. Bong the Altadis-New Director prize for "surprising skill in the film's mixing of genres, which reveals a brilliant cinema talent."
The new director award carried a prize of 137,000 dollars.
The film was the director's second feature, and was a commercial and critical success in Korea this year.
