Russian Black Bears to be Released at Mt. Jiri Next Spring

Six Russian black bears will be released to the wild at the Mount Jiri National Park next spring.

Park authorities said they had signed a memorandum of understanding with their Russian counterparts earlier on September 18th to bring in four female and two male bears.

The bear has a distinctive crescent-shaped white marking on its chest, which gave the animal the name
