A biannual seasonal night market at Seoul's Cheonggye Plaza is set to open for its fall season this weekend.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government says the market, which offers a venue for aspiring entrepreneurs with hopes to expand their businesses globally, will run from Friday to Sunday, then for an additional three days from October 19th to the 21st.
The seasonal market is part of the Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market which has been operating on weekends since March at a number of locations in the capital region, including Yeouido, Banpo and Dongdaemun.
Various events are lined up starting this weekend, such as karaoke auditions for the next K-pop star, a balloon festival and a photo printing service.
This year's Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market, whose name Bamdokkaebi comes from Korea's traditional goblin "dokkaebi" known to enjoy dancing, singing, playing games and performing tricks, will run until October 28th.
