The two Koreas may hold a joint ceremony in Pyongyang next month to mark the eleventh anniversary of the October fourth joint declaration of 2007.

That was issued when former President Roh Moo-hyun concluded a summit with former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in 2007.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul says heads of the inter-Korean liaison office in Gaeseong almost reached an agreement Thursday over the commemoration event, which was agreed to in principle at the Pyongyang summit last week.

It is expected to take place from October fourth to sixth and be attended by about 150 representatives from the South.
