A library honoring former President Kim Dae-jung will open its doors to the public on November 3rd.

The Kim Dae-jung Presidential Library is housed in the building of the Asia Pacific Foundation which was remodeled by Yonsei University.

The presidential library, the first in the nation, holds around 16-thousand volumes of books and historical documents donated by Kim to the university.

Yonsei says its plans to operate a graduate course on unification studies starting next March and establish a doctorate course to make the library into a comprehensive international research institute.
