South Korea has again requested the United States to waive visas for South Korean businesspeople.

At a meeting of trade officials held in Washington Wednesday, the South Korean delegation said their nation is among 18 countries that suffer the most inconvenience in visa issuance to the United States.

The head of the U.S. delegation, an official from the U.S. Trade Representative Office, said it will do whatever it can to help with the request, even though the visa issuance is a matter to be decided ultimately by the State Department.
