A report by an international economic organization finds that South Korea's national competitiveness has moved up three notches to rank 18th in the world.

It is the first time for Seoul to rank within the top 20 in the Global Competitiveness Report compiled by the World Economic Forum.

Finland topped the list, followed by the United States, Sweden and Demark.

The country rankings are based on a study the organization conducted on the comparative strengths and weaknesses of one-hundred-2 industrialized and emerging economies.
