Government to Send 3,000 Noncombatant Troops to Iraq

The government is considering dispatching a force of 3,000 mostly non-combatant soldiers to Iraq.

A government official said Friday a South Korean delegation will suggest this plan next week in Washington during working-level preparatory talks for the 2003 U.S.-South Korea Security Consultative Meeting.
