Korea's Electronic Gov't. Ratio Ranks 13th Globally

According to a report by the UN Secretariat, South Korea ranked 13th in the world in terms of its status of becoming a predominantly 'electronic government'.

According to the report, the US ranked in the top place with 3.11 evaluation points, followed by Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Korea shared the 13th place with Spain with a score of 2.3.

The UN report on the scope of electronic government is the second of its kind following one completed last year.

The report's score is based on 190 UN member nations by giving points based on the level of government website management, PC, TV, cellular phones, telephone circuits, and other information infrastructure.
