Weather officials have issued a snow warning for the central part of the nation as developing clouds are forecast to bring more snowfall on the first snow of the season.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that four centimeters of snow had fallen in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province as of seven a.m. Monday, adding that two to six more centimeters of snow are expected before noon.

Weather officials said the mercury will go up on Tuesday with morning lows expected to range from minus nine to one degrees Celsius nationwide.

Agency officials cautioned homeowners to pay extra attention to protecting their outdoor facilities and urged drivers to be careful on the roads.
