SKorean Casualty in Antarctic Accident to Be Returned Home Soon

The body of Jeon Jae-kyu, 27, who died in an accident in Antarctica will reportedly be moved to Chile by Wednesday, Korean time, and then to Seoul by December 12th at the earliest.

According to Consul-General Oh Dae-sung at the Korean embassy in Chile, Jeon's body will be moved to Punta Arenas, the southernmost city of Chile on Wednesday, before being sent home to Seoul via Los Angeles once preparations are complete.

The South Korean foreign ministry said it immediately dispatched Park Whan-seon, a consul at the Korean embassy in Chile, to Punta Arenas to help prepare the necessary steps for sending the body home.
