The National Institute of Health says it has no plans at the present moment to take further steps to counter the possible recurrence of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), citing that monitoring systems are already being operated at Incheon International Airport.

The announcement Wednesday comes in the wake of a recent report that a Taiwanese man tested positive for the SARS virus after traveling to Singapore a few days earlier.

It was the first reported case of the SARS virus in more than three months since the World Health Organization announced the end of the spread of the deadly flu-like ailment.

The lethal respiratory affliction spread dramatically in the first half of the year, killing more than 800 people -- mostly in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Canada -- and causing chaos in many Asian economies.
