Christmas mass and worship services were held in major cathedrals and churches in Seoul Thursday, celebrating the birth of infant Jesus.

Christians flocked in droves to Myungdong Cathedral in downtown Seoul Thursday morning, while major Protestant Churches offered worship services celebrating the coming of Jesus and praying for peace and love throughout the world.

A variety of festive events were on tap on Wednesday night, Christmas Eve, and the main streets in downtown Seoul were crowded with merrymakers and festivities.
