The spread of a strain of avian influenza shows no signs of letting up, as reports of new cases of the contagious bird flu are being reported in both North and South Jeolla Province.

Additionally, a farm in Kyongju City, North Kyungsang Province, was also found to have been infested with bird flu.

The Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry said Wednesday that five new farms including a duck farm in Jeong-eup City, North Jeolla Province, and a chicken farm in Naju, South Jeolla Province, were newly added to the list of areas of infection.
