The government has eased concerns over the further spread of bird flu which hit hard the southern part of the nation in the past few weeks.

In a meeting Sunday, government officials assessed that the bird flu will not spread any further after reviewing cases of the avian influenza and results of tests on the effect that disease may have on human beings.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said that during the meeting, an official of the National Health Institute said that after testing some one-thousand-300 people, it had found no case of infection.
