A Civilian Korean Rescue Team To Be Dispatched to Iran

A Korean rescue team, consisting of civilians, will be dispatched to the city of Bam, Kerman Province, Iran, where more than 22,000 people were feared to have died in the earthquake which hit the region last Friday.

The team, belonging to a private organization known as Good People, is composed of 12 professional life saving experts and medical personnel, will be sent to the Iranian city of Bam for about a week to engage in life saving activities.

The team members have undergone intensive training for various rescuing operations over the past one year by mobilizing detecting devices and ultra-modern devices.
