A Chong Wa Dae official said Tuesday that President Roh Moo-hyun would not give any official response for the time being to the prosecution's announcement of its probe results centering on the slush fund scandal.

The official said that it is Chong Wa Dae's stance that the president should not comment on the issue in order to avoid influencing the prosecution's own investigation, adding that the Blue House did hold differing opinions on certain points of the prosecution's announcement.

The official explained that if the special counsel's probe continues, Roh will eventually make his position clear about those different points, along with issues related to the proposed confidence vote on his presidency.
