S. Korea Successful in Pig Cloning

South Korea has become the world's third nation to successfully clone pigs, following the United States and Britain.

A group of researchers at Chungnam University said Tuesday that they succeeded in cloning 15 piglets using cells from a pig's ear.

Researchers said that through the cloning process, they have effectively advanced the technology for creating artificial human organs by as much as four to five years.
