Beginning next year, Japanese broadcasts will be increasingly available to the Korean public.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced Tuesday that with its latest open-door policy toward Japanese culture, the government plans to lift its ban on most Japanese broadcasts.

Beginning next year, Korea's terrestrial broadcasting will feature Japanese culture and education programs as well as Japanese dramas, music and movies.

Cable and satellite broadcasts will also feature a variety of Japanese education and culture programs as well as movies, music and animation.
