KBS Kicks Off New Year, Pledging Renewed Start

The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) held an opening ceremony for the new year Friday, committing itself to do its best as a public broadcasting entity to help the nation take leaps forward in every sector of South Korean society.
In a new year's message, KBS president Jung Yeon-ju stressed that KBS employees must devote themselves to fulfilling the entity's historic mission as a public broadcaster.
He also called on KBS staff members to pool their abilities to create a working environment that centers on building a creative and work-oriented organization.
136 newly recruited staffers were in attendance during the ceremony.
