Parts of freeways nationwide are seeing congestion as travelers head back to Seoul as the end of the five-day Chuseok holiday nears.

As of 1 p.m. Sunday, it takes an estimated four hours and 50 minutes to get from Busan to Seoul, three hours and 30 minutes from Gwangju, and two hours from Daejeon.

The Korea Expressway Corporation estimated about three-point-55 million vehicles will hit the road on Sunday.

The traffic volume is likely lighter than on an average weekend on both north and south bound expressways, but parts of the north bound highways are expected to see congestion.
