The National Assembly's political reform special committee convened on Thursday three subcommittee meetings, renegotiating pressing issues among the rival political camps including the quorum of assemblymen, and political fund-raising reforms.

The meetings draw keen attention as the parties will be discussing whether to maintain the parliamentary quorum at the current 273 seats.

Some lawmakers are pushing to increase the Assembly's quorum to 290 seats.

During the meeting, rival political camps are expected to reach an agreement without much difficulty, as they have all expressed support for adopting the proposed political reform bill in order to establish a clean political climate ahead of the general elections in April.
