North Korea's Kim Il-sung University is reported to have set the study and search of Koguryo history as one of its major academic tasks for the new year.

The North's official organ, Rodong Shinmun, reported Monday that the history department of the university would conduct scientific research to demonstrate the validity of Korea's claim to historical bragging rights of the ancient kingdom of Koguryo.
