Korea placed 13th out of 52 nations in an international index on social integration of migrants.

The website of the Migrant Integration Policy Index(MIPEX) revealed that Korea's embrace of migrant wives and workers scored above average at 56 out of a 100.

Korea was tied at 13th with Great Britain and Iceland.

In the category of education and job training, Korea ranked high while being lackluster on access to the labor market.

Sweden stood at the top of the list with 86 points followed by Finland, Portugal and Canada.

MIPEX has been publishing its index on migrants' social integration every three years since 2004.
