South Korea added 985 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, down 105 from the previous day and returning to below the one-thousand threshold. 

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said on Thursday that the new infections raised the country's accumulated caseload to 53-thousand-533.

Of the new cases, 955 were domestic infections while 30 were imported.
