Voice of America reports that North Korean exports to China last month plunged to just over two thousand dollars due to border closures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to VOA, Chinese customs data shows that North Korean shipments to China recorded two-thousand-382 dollars in November.

This excludes well over one million dollars of electricity exports from a jointly constructed hydro power plant, which VOA does not view as exports.

Among the goods North Korea shipped to China, cosmetics took up the largest portion, at over 18-hundred dollars.

Meanwhile Chinese exports to the North last month recorded about 143-thousand dollars for just 16 items.
