Jeju Int'l Airport Seeing Disruptions Due to Snow, Strong Winds

Jeju International Airport is seeing a disruption in operations due to snowfall and strong winds. 

According to the Korea Airport Corporation’s Jeju office, a total of 38 flights were canceled as of 9 a.m. Wednesday after six millimeters of snow piled up at the airport and winds hit eleven meters per second.  

The Aviation Meteorological Office projected that the airport will witness five millimeters of rainfall and snowfall of between two to five centimeters through Thursday.  

The office also said the airport will see further disruptions with a strong northwesterly wind forecast to blow from Wednesday night.  

Currently, strong wind and wind shear warnings are in place at the airport.
