A search team has made no progress in efforts to rescue crew members of a fishing boat that capsized and sank off the coast of Jeju Island on Tuesday.

According to the Jeju Coast Guard on Thursday, the coast guard and the Navy continued the search overnight, mobilizing six vessels.

The joint search team combed through waters around the Port of Jeju, but failed to find the seven missing crew.

The coast guard and the Navy plan to continue the search on Thursday, mobilizing five aircraft and vessels. A fishery patrol ship from the Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries will also join the search.

The 39-ton vessel overturned at around 7:44 p.m. Tuesday in waters northwest of the Port of Jeju. The ship, carrying four South Koreans and three Indonesians, sank after hitting a breakwater at the port at around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
