Moon's Approval Rating Hits New Low at 34.1%, Disapproval Rating Tops 60%

The approval rating for President Moon Jae-in fell to a record low, with his disapproval rating rising above 60 percent for the first time.

According to Realmeter's survey of one-thousand adults nationwide Friday and Saturday, 34-point-one percent of respondents gave a positive assessment of Moon.

These current figures represent the lowest rating since Moon took office in May 2017.

Negative assessment of the president topped 60 percent for the first time to mark 61-point-seven percent.

Meanwhile, public support for the ruling Democratic Party came to 28-point-seven percent, while the approval rating for the main opposition People Power Party marked 34-point-two percent.

The survey, commissioned by YTN, had a confidence level of 95 percent with a margin of error of three-point-one percentage points.
