South Korea reported one-thousand-20 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, climbing above the one-thousand mark after two days of hovering below it.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said Monday that the new infections raised the country's accumulated caseload to 64-thousand-264.

The daily figure jumped 363 from the previous day, although the government assessed that the nation appeared to be slowly passing the peak of the outbreak’s third wave.
