The United States will reportedly require negative COVID-19 tests from all travelers as early as late this month.

The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday quoted a source as saying that the U.S. government will require negative COVID-19 tests from all international travelers flying into the U.S. including American nationals.

The measure, decided by the White House Coronavirus Task Force after consultation with a related organization, will reportedly take effect from January 26.

The Journal said that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will announce the decision soon.

A similar requirement has already been in place for passengers coming from Britain since late last month.
